The history of Minsk Electromechanical Plant dates back to 1 December 1952, in accordance with the order of the USSR Ministry of Shipbuilding Industry No. 001293 “On the partial commissioning of Plant No. 864”.
Agat – Electromechanical Plant JSC is a part of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee and is subordinated to AGAT – Сontrol Systems JSC – Managing Company of Geoinformation Control Systems Holding.
The enterprise produces special-purpose equipment for the military and for the law–enforcement agencies of the Republic of Belarus:
- mobile communication nodes
- automation equipment for mobile control posts of radiolocation stations
- automated command posts for air defence missile brigade
- mobile stations for automated aircraft control
- mobile communication nodes
- radio relay stations
- standard vehicles for the chief officer of the battalion headquarters (gun position officer)
- special-purpose container-type vans (special-purpose containers)
- servo units
- switch cabinets
- cabinets for thermally-controlled equipment
- universal masts
- measuring satellite units (strap-down inertial navigation systems)
- rack-mounted optical fibre distribution frames
Military offices of the Russian and Belarusian Defence Ministries are represented at the enterprise.
Furthermore, Agat – Electromechanical Plant JSC is a supplier of sophisticated electrical equipment for the assembly lines at engineering industry.
Agat – Electromechanical Plant JSC is currently developing new samples of industrial and special-purpose equipment.
