Construcciones Navales P. Freire, S.A. is a company engaged in the construction of high added value vessels. The company was founded in 1895 by the Freire family, and four generations later they are still the only shareholders of the company. Since the 60s, Freire has built over 250 vessels for more than 20 countries.
The shipyard is currently engaged in the construction, repair and conversion of all kinds of steel vessels measuring up to 155 m in length. Since the year 2000, the shipyard has become internationally well known as a builder of high added value vessels such as oceanographic, research and offshore vessels.
Vessels
The shipyard currently specialises in the construction of commercial and military high-tech vessels with a high degree of sophistication and customisation. Within this range, Freire can build all kinds of vessels measuring up to 155 m in length, such as hydrographic ships, offshore patrol vessels, tall training ships, research vessels and as well as support vessels for the offshore industry, among others.
