Group FLUIDMECANICA was founded in 1977 in Vigo as a company assigned to the naval sector for the purpose of manufacture, commercialization and repair of equipment for ships. In 1985 a delegation in San Fernando was created to undertake works for the strong naval industry of the zone as well as to give maintenance service to the Spanish Navy.
It is in 1991 when Fluidmecanica Sur settles down as independent company within FLUIDMECANICA GROUP. It was in 1996, when because of necessities of improvements of the facilities; FLUIDMECANICA SUR was transferred to its present seat in Chiclana.
In 1998, FLUIDMECANICA SUR created a delegation in Ferrol, facility located in the industrial park of Naron, to undertake works in the arsenal.
In 2003 we began our activities in Cartagena and in year 2009 we have released our new facilities in the Polygon the Bolarín in La Union.

Fluidmecánica has extensive experience at maintaining and overhauling small and large calibre guns. There are two main elements of life cycle support for the MK 38:

Fluidmecánica performs maintenance and overhauls on AAV7A1 vehicles:
– Preliminary evaluation.

– Final testing. - Maintenance of Marine Infantry Hummer Vehicles
The work performed on Hummer vehicles is subject to a scheduled review. Therefore, each vehicle is subject to a series of guidelines for inspection, repair and replacement of the different elements that compose the vehicle. Fluidmecánica has done the complete reconstruction of vehicles, starting at the chassis, or complete overhauls of the engine and subsequent testing on a bench. - Design and Manufacture of the Autopilot of the S-80 Submarines
S-80 Submarine / Hydraulic control units. Control blocks of the hydraulic system of the bow, stern and rudder of the S-80 submarine. Fluidmecánica works in partnership with Avio Propulsione Aerospaziale on this project for design, development, manufacturing and installation. There are 3 units:
– H.U. of the stern plane (inclination).

– H.U. of the rudder (steering). - Maintenance of Helicopter Rast Systems on Board Vessels
Technical support, materials and training of our personnel for the maintenance of the Rast systems of the Álvaro de Bazán class F-100 frigates and the Santa María class FFG.
