Santa Bárbara Sistemas (SBS) is a Spanish company that employs over 700 highly skilled employees at four work centres that are especially dedicated to the Defence industry.     The 8×8 VCR Piranha 5 is a wheeled combat vehicle with the best mobility, protection and growth potential in the market. The entire system is designed so that it can be updated throughout its useful life in order to integrate new protection technologies as they are developed or to respond to new threats.
  • ASCOD (Pizarro) Tracked Armoured Vehicle
    The ASCOD vehicle is one of the best Infantry Fighting Vehicles of its class (31 to 42 tonnes), a tracked combat vehicle designed to operate in conjunction with main tanks. The Spanish version of the ASCOD is the Pizarro, the Austrian version is the Ulan and the English version was recently renamed the Ajax. The ASCOD has served as basis for developing the SV Programme.
  • 155/52 SIAC Howitzer
    Santa Bárbara Sistemas designs and manufactures a wide range of armaments and ammunition. The towed 155/52 SIAC howitzer has been developed for fire support and high-performance protection missions, with a low maintenance cost and a reduced crew. It is in service in the Spanish Army and in the armies of other countries.
  • Missile Warheads and Rocket Motors
    Santa Bárbara Sistemas manufactures warheads and rocket motors for the Meteor, Mistral and Spike missiles. It also assembles Spike missiles.
  • 105 mm TPCSDS-T Rounds
    This round is used in 105/52 cannons and the M68 cannon (M48 and M60 tanks). It contains a kinetic-energy, cone stabilised projectile with a tracer. It is used as target practice ammunition.
