Končar Electrical Equipment was founded in 1946. and it has been operating under present name since 1970.
Today it’s production facilities operate on approximately 10.000 m2, with more than 100 employees, of which more than 40 have university degrees either in electrical or mechanical engineering.
Quality Management System is certified, adequately operated and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001:2000.

Končar – Electrical Equipment has great experience in manufacturing medium voltage switchgear and transformer substations.
Our MV switchgear can be either fixed type rated up to 38 kV, or withdrawable type metal clad rated 12 kV, 17.5 kV, 24 kV, 38 kV.
Great export experience was gained delivering MV Switchgear to SEC (Saudi Electric Company).
We export to this market 17.5 kV switchgear and 38 kV switchgear for witch we have typecertificates (CESi, Milano and Končar-IET).
Technical Cooperation Agreement with ABB will help us increase sales of our products on regional market.
We cooperate also with other manufacturers of CBs, instrument transformers and protection relays.
The Company has a large range of LV Switchgear for distribution and industrial plants. This includes modular and fixed low voltage switchgear, fixed and withdrawable type group motor starters, LV switchgear for regulation of electromotive drives, power factor correction switchgear, distributive LV switchgear cabinets, control, distribution and measurement cabinets.
The Company has a License Agreement with GE (General Electric) for switchboards type Modula Plus & SEN Plus.
Končar – Electrical Equipment Inc. has 50 years of experience in manufacturing marine equipment and devices. This product line includes: main and emergency switchboards, group and individual motor starters, main lighting switchboards, remote control desks for main engine room and main bridge, power and lighting distribution panels, connection boxes and EDG modules (containers) incl. tanks for emergency diesel generators.
Works in Shipbuilding industry are under permanent supervision by Classification Societies and are therefore much more difficult to perform than works on land. We have experience with all societies like DNV, ABS, Lloyd, Germanischer Lloyd, RINA, RMRS, Bureau Veritas…
