LASA Engineering Ltd (LASA) offers solutions for implementing critical systems in aviation, defence and security sectors, integrating mature and innovative technologies.
The company specializes in delivering modifications and/or upgrades to reconnaissance and surveillance airborne platforms via system integrations enabling their use in wide variety of roles. LASA provides upgrades and tailor-made turnkey solutions for airborne ISR and COIN operations into a wide range of fixed- and rotary wing platforms, both manned and unmanned.
It is our mission to consult and support our clients during the procurement process, the system architecture design, to the delivery of a ready-to-fly platform, and to support in training and initial operational phase.
Based in the town of Kazanlak, located in the Valley of Roses – the very heart of Bulgaria, LASA operates its own airfield, production and test facilities including a 2.2 km runway.
Products & Services
One of the latest solutions offered by LASA, developed in close cooperation with one of our strategic partners, is the Targeting and Reconnaissance Pod (TR-POD). The TR-POD, besides ISR capabilities, includes all the equipment required for rapid execution of the complete targeting cycle. The pod constitutes an easy ISR and Targeting upgrade for the existing fleet of aircrafts. It needs no airframe modifications and can be mounted on any aircraft equipped with NATO 14” or Warsaw Pact 250mm standard hard points. With this new TR-POD every aircraft and helicopter equipped with hard points can be a surveillance aircraft instantly. Although the TR-POD is an “out of the box solution” it turns out to be very flexible in fulfilling special customer needs. On the basis of “Plug & Fly” the customer is able to add ISR capability to his fleet.
The light weight carbon fibre pod carries a complete surveillance mission architecture which upgrades any aircraft to an ISR platform in less than 1 hour. It offers room for an EO/IR Gimbal, Downlink, Uplink, Moving Map, Augmented Reality System and COMINT/SIGINT equipment.
