ELFON LTD was established in Athens, Greece, in 1975. The company started as a manufacturer of innovative electronic components (produced the first push-button telephone set in Greece), and in 1979 it focused on the Aerospace and Security Industry. Within the past forty years, it has built parts for major U.S. and European aeronautics and security companies, as well as the armed forces of Greece. ELFON LTD is located approximately 15 km (9 mi) East of Athens. All company facilities are housed in a single building of 6,000 sq. meters (65,000 sq. feet).
The Quality Management System of ELFON LTD is certified according to AS/EN 9100 and ISO 9001. The operators are IPC certified for aviation and space operations. Besides that, the company has implemented world class practices for the evaluation of quality and efficiency of quality procedures. As a result, most customers have granted ELFON Source Quality Inspection for the most demanding products.
ELFON operates in a manner that is “worry free” for its customers, requiring minimal supervision and auditing. ELFON is also certified according to ISO 14001:2004.
ACTIVITIES & PRODUCTS
The field in which ELFON LTD specializes is manufacturing of wiring harnesses, cabling, and electromechanical assemblies.
ELFON is also associated with a competent and certified pool of subcontractors that can perform electronics design and manufacturing, metal processing, and surface treatment, thus being able to act as an integrator and project coordinator. The company possesses the technical know-how, the organizational skills, and state of the art equipment for the manufacturing of wiring harnesses, while it is capable of managing any electromechanical project associated with interconnections and wiring harnesses.
Company customers are major aerospace and defense companies in the United States and Europe including Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, Textron/Beechcraft, Raytheon Missile Systems, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Dassault, MBDA, Thales, and Krauss Maffei Wegmann.
